1. Leonard’s Bakery
Leonard’s Bakery serving up hot Malasadas since 1952. A Malasada is a Portuguese donut, deep fried and coated with sugar. Simply delicious!
2. Liliha Bakery
Liliha Bakery is another Island favorite. Best known for their CoCo Puff and Poi Mochi Donuts. CoCo Puffs are small puffed pastry filled with a creamy filling and topped with frosting. Poi Mochi Donuts are deep fried doughnut of sweet rice flour and poi “fermented root of a taro”. Not for the faint at heart!
3. Matsumoto Shave Ice
Matsumoto Shave Ice located in the heart of small historic town of Haleiwa, serving up a cool, lite and refreshing shave ice “snow cone” with flavored syrup topping. For a more flavorful cone, order extras such as sweetened condensed milk or ice cream. My favorite is “rainbow shave ice with ice cream”.
